We stage high-quality theater performances of productions by Norm Foster, one of Canada’s premier playwrights. “Looking: and “The Foursome” are two of Foster’s current plays in rehearsal that will be ready in September.

Meet The Team

Dr. Alan LeBoeuf

Founder & CEO

Born in an industrial city in the north of England I was told at school that I might graduate to become a bank teller. That would have seen the demise of the banking system. So, I decided to study my way into traveling the world. A few years later I graduated with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Trinity College Dublin, worked in Bermuda, and then moved to Calgary, Alberta. I worked as a clinical psychologist and tutor at Athabasca University and then one fateful day a student asked me whether I had ever acted and would I like to audition. They called me three days later to tell me they wanted me to do the lead.

Over the years, I performed in over 30 plays and was nominated as best actor on 3 occasions. I went on to direct and produce another 15 plays. One day, sitting in a bar with some of my mates, it was suggested that I write a play. They say write about what you know and so I did. I incorporated my experiences as a psychologist working with an insurance company into my first play. It got favorable reviews and that was the start of a writing career. 18 plays later, I’m still at it.

In 2019 I decided to write an autobiography, as a document to my family and their families that described who the old boy was. But I didn’t stop. I decided to write a murder mystery (based on my play Deadly Illusion) and that’s where I met Sidney Arbuckle, private investigator. I admit that Sidney is a bit of an alter ego, but he has now appeared in six of my books and there may be more.
